Ziobur came to the US from Malaysia in November, the first time that he saw snow was in Portland earlier this year. He speaks very little English and his native language is Rohingya. We don’t really know why Ziobur came to the states, but the Rohingya people in Malaysia have experienced a lot of persecution. The teachers at Centennial worked hard with Ziobur’s family to make sure all the paperwork got completed and we were stoked to have him with us. He was riding the lift shortly after lunch and keeping up with everyone.
