We had a rainy rainy start and a new group of students who powered through the rain to a snowy afternoon (much in part to to the Bob’s Red Mill hot oatmeal demo)!
While it rained we worked on one footed “skate” training, everyone was sliding around like champions getting the feel of the board at the base. Slowly students began hiking up for more speed and working on learning J turns and edges.
Because of the rain and foot impressions melting the base, we had to graduate quickly from hiking to the lift. This was exciting and pushed everyone to challenge themselves for the full snowboarding experience.
